Since 1981, Cook & Company Insurance Services, Inc.’s Health Plan Management Group has consulted with employer groups concerning all aspects of their group health benefits. Our niche, however, is the Massachusetts municipal marketplace complete with its own set of unique, idiosyncratic statutes and requirements. Whether it’s the Massachusetts state statutes, such as M.G.L. Chapter 32B, or Federal laws, including the Affordable Care Act, we have the experience and understand the regulatory impact to our clients.
Our diverse client base represents both self-insured clients and employer groups with fully-insured policies that include virtually every major health insurance carrier in the state, Joint Purchase Arrangements (JPA) and the Group Insurance Commission (GIC). We also routinely work with our clients’ Insurance Advisory Committees and Public Employee Committees and assist with negotiations under Sections 19 or 21-23.
